He joined Industrial Technology and Research Institute (ITRI) as a senior engineer in 2007. He was a visiting scholar of Carnegie Mellon University in 2007 and 2008. Since 2011, he has been with NTUST, where he is currently a Professor. He served as a technical consultant of Etron Inc. during 2015-2017.
